Empowering Women Educators using Generative AI: A Thematic Analysis

Abstract

Education has long been recognized as a critical pathway for women’s empowerment; however, persistent gender disparities in access, quality, and learning outcomes continue to challenge equitable educational development, particularly in developing contexts such as India. In recent years, Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force capable of reshaping educational systems by enhancing accessibility, personalization, and learner engagement. This paper examines the role of AI in empowering women educators in an educational institution by synthesizing recent empirical and conceptual studies on AI-enabled learning environments. Drawing on contemporary research, the study highlights how Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) tools support personalized learning, student motivation, attention to diversity, and psychological empowerment (Pérez-Montesdeoca et al., 2026; Shi et.al, 2025). AI- driven educational technologies facilitate adaptive content delivery, individualized feedback, and inclusive pedagogical practices. Furthermore, AI contributes to women’s empowerment by strengthening digital literacy, employability, and participation in emerging economic sectors (Shah, 2024). The paper concludes that AI can serve as a powerful catalyst for women’s empowerment in an educational institution. Women-centric AI education programs are essential for advancing gender equality and achieving sustainable development goals.
