The Relationship Between the Frequency of Viewing Cyberporn and Parental Control Over Cybersex Behavior Among High School Students in Surabaya

Abstract
Adolescence is a phase during which a person undergoes significant developmental changes. This period makes a person curious about many things, one of which is sex. This study aims to answer research questions based on Travis Hirschi’s social control theory regarding: The relationship between the intensity of watching cyberporn and parental control over cybersex behavior among high school students in Surabaya. The research questions are as follows: (1) Is there a significant relationship between the intensity of watching porn and cybersex behavior among high school students in Surabaya? (2) Is there a significant relationship between parental control and cybersex behavior among high school students in Surabaya? (3) Is there a significant relationship between the intensity of watching pornography and parental control over the cybersex behavior of high school students in Surabaya?. This study yielded the following results. First, there is a correlation between variables X1 and Y with a value of 0.818. This indicates that the relationship between the two is very strong. Second, there is a correlation between variables X2 and Y with a value of -0.243. This indicates that the relationship between the two is negative. Third, there is a relationship between variables X1 and X2 and Y, simultaneously with a value of 0.829. This indicates that the relationship between the two is very strong.
