Analysis of Factors Affecting the Productivity of Domestic Ship Loading and Unloading at Tanjung Priok Port

Abstract

This research highlights the important role of loading and unloading companies in Indonesia's maritime logistics system, especially at the Port of Tanjung Priok as a national distribution center. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect the loading and unloading productivity of domestic ships at Tanjung Priok Port in order to improve operational efficiency and port performance. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive and comparative methods to analyze the loading and unloading productivity at Tanjung Priok Port by PBM Firma Berkah Jaya (FBJ) during 2023. The results showed that the number of TKBM had a strong correlation with the level of loading and unloading productivity, where the more labor, the faster the activity was completed. However, an excessive increase in working time actually reduces efficiency due to idle time.
